I have always given more attention to Mother’s Day than Father’s day, especially when it comes to gifts. And most people are guilty of this, too. Stores have reported making more sales for Mother’s day gifts than Father’s day. We give more attention to our mums than our dads.

Searching for a memorable Father’s Day gift is never easy. Especially for my dad.

He is the ultimate definition of macho. He is not a guy who wears his emotions on his sleeves. He is always the strong one in the family, comforting everyone else and giving us a shoulder to cry on when things go wrong.

When his mum -- my gra

I guess his strong personality has always contributed to the less attention I give to his Father’s day gift.

Another reason is that he is a frugal spender; you could easily get a lecture for spending too much money on his gift. My father has always made it clear that he would rather spend quality time with his family in an outdoor activity than get a material gift. And this quality time is what we always give him on his birthdays.

After getting my mom a beautiful Mother’s day gift that she adored, it got me thinking about this year’s Father’s Day. I wanted to give him a treat that was not too expensive that it made him uncomfortable, but one that carried sentimental value.

My dad values family deeply and holds it above everything else. I wanted to give him something that would always remind him of the love we have for him, something unique and timeless.

I enquired from a friend who is a lover of art on a spectacular gift that I could get for my dad. She mentioned a 3D crystal photos she had received on her wedding day as a gift from a friend. And she had loved it. I went over to her house to look at it and instantly knew that that was what I needed to get.

A quick online search revealed an online store that would get a 3D crystal in the shape and size of my preference, 3dcrystal.com. They provide a variety of 3D crystals in the form of keychains, crystal hearts, cut corner diamonds, and rectangular shapes.

If you are wondering what a 3D crystal is, have a look.

All I needed was to upload the photo that I wanted them to engrave in the crystal. I chose a family photo we had taken while on vacation. It’s my dad’s favorite vacation to date. And the fact that everyone is in it made it an excellent choice.

I chose the 3D Crystal Rectangle Wide, which is big enough to place on an office desk. The LED illumination brightens our smiles and illuminates the love in our eyes. It is magnificent.

I can never forget the look in my father’s eyes when he opened the gift. It was one of the most fulfilling moments of my life. He placed the 3D crystal in his office and always has his loved ones’ smiles with him.

If you are stuck on choosing a Father’s day gift, visit 3dcrystal.com and give your father the Father’s Day treat he deserves.
